Paint Canada Pink – Ottawa Event Photographer ~ Giving Back

I live in a wonderful community and this week businesses all over Ottawa joined forces with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure and painted this city Pink!

Y101, 105.3 Kiss FM, Hazeldean Mall, Beyond Events, Little Cakes, Fuchsia Factory, K6 Media, Keller Williams, The Works, It’s a Matter of Cake, Studio 1948, Running Room, Second Cup, Gotta Paint and Sassy Bead & Co were just a few of the amazing businesses around Ottawa that participated in this event.

Here are a few images I captured this past week at some of the events I was lucky to attend, at the Hazeldean Mall, in support of at the Paint Canada Pink Week.

 

‘Fuchsia Factory’ Goes Pink

 

 

 

 

Despite my nerves, as I am not a fan of public speaking of any kind, I had a wonderful time at Monday evenings Fuchsia Factory Event and enjoyed meeting the many talented, creative and successful men and women.

I brought my camera but, for once, I did not have my head buried behind it and therefore only captured a few images. However, Amna Hakim, an amazingly talented photographer (shown below), was there capturing the evening as the official photographer. Her images are amazing, view them here.

 

 

Pink ‘Little Cakes’

I am at a loss for words when it comes to the brilliant, kind, thoughtful and giving women behind Little Cakes. My words just can not do their talent & kindness justice.

I am proud to call Shakira & Colleen friends and I believe that the success of their business truly speaks for itself. Their delectable cupcakes and fantastic personalities guarantee returning customers and rave reviews. They selflessly donate their time and cupcakes to many charity events around the city and always have a kind word for everyone they meet.

My event; Lil’ Think Pink Photo Sessions with ‘NDS Photography’

 

I had the best group of kids and parents come out to the ‘Lil Think Pink Photo Sessions’.

Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these images of your munchkins, they were an absolute pleasure and I had a great time.

A huge thank you to Shakira and Colleen of Little Cakes who kindly donated their delicious mini cupcakes throughout the week, at the many Paint Canada Pink events, at the Hazeldean Mall, including mine.

 

Below was my first session of the day. Adorable baby G and her mom had just got back from vacation at 8am the morning of the shoot and boy oh boy you would’ve never guessed it. Complete with outfit changes, this happy smiley baby and her mom were awesome. The only thing that would have made it perfect was having a photo of the two of them together. Maybe next time
